Centrelink delivers social security payments and services to Australians. The resources include information on how to use a Centrelink account and how to access services.

Express Plus Centrelink Mobile app

A video and a series of ‘How to’ guides explaining how to download, set up and use the Centrelink app. Multiple click-throughs in the ‘How to’ guides.

Centrelink online account help – Request a document

Step-by-step instructions on how to view, print and save documents using a Centrelink account.

Community members will need a myGov account linked to their Centrelink online account to access personal documents via Centrelink. Documents are in PDF format and can be downloaded, saved and printed.

Upload your Centrelink documents online

Explanation on how to upload documents using a Centrelink online account and the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app. 

Community members will need to have downloaded the app and have a myGov account linked to their Centrelink online account to be able to upload documents.

Centrelink Payment and Service Finder

This is an online tool where community members answer a series of questions to discover:

  • any payments they are entitled to 
  • services available in their area.

Financial counsellors may need to double check if community members report an abnormal result. 

Help information is available via a help tab.

Digital coaching

Community members can book a 15-to-45-minute face-to-face digital coaching session at a Centrelink service centre. The purpose of the digital coaching session is to increase community members’ skills and confidence in using Centrelink specific online platforms. 

Explanations with links to how to book a digital coaching session appointment are provided as well as information on what to bring to the coaching session e.g. laptop, mobile phone or tablet; identification; passwords and PINs for devices and accounts.

Financial counsellors can book digital coaching sessions for community members. Digital coaching sessions are recommended for the highly vulnerable.

Financial Information Service (FIS): How to connect with us

Information about the Financial Information Service including:

  • what the service is
  • how to contact the service
  • videos on a variety of topics e.g. job seekers, aged care, investing basics, income and assets, retirement, farms and businesses and lump sums
  • links to book participation in a live webinar or to watch a recorded webinar. Webinar topics include redundancies, superannuation, retirement, superannuation for women and youth, aged care, and home equity access scheme. 

Format: Online information and videos

Language: English. Some information on the FIS Home Page can be translated to many different languages

Accessibility: Can listen to the onscreen text, change the screen setting to dark mode, and print text on the FIS Home Page
