Summary of WA tenancy law changes to allow renters affected by family and domestic violence (FDV) to stay or go.
Staying involves applying to the court to have a perpetrator’s name removed from the lease.
If a tenant affected by FDV decides to leave, they can get out of the lease within 7 days, with the right evidence and termination notice.
